‘Pomp, Pageantry & Protection’ –
Royal Polearms – An Unequalled Private Collection

Halberds
Never before publicly exhibited and unquestionably from the finest collection of polearms in private hands, the BADA Fair is delighted to host a loan exhibition containing some of the most opulent etched and gilded weapons ever created. Formed over the last 45 years and concentrating on Imperial and Regal bodyguards, this exhibition will show examples of the finest design and craftsmanship by artists and metalworkers of the European Royal Courts during the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and will demonstrate the power and prestige of some of the most famous European rulers from 1500-1750.

The BADA Fair is grateful for the sponsorship of the Loan Exhibition by two city firms which both have a reputation for providing services of the highest quality.

2012 – the BADA Fair’s 20th anniversary – setting the highest of standards
The BADA Fair celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2012 and, from its very first staging, it has set the highest of standards for other events to follow.  It was the first event of its kind to be housed in a purpose built pavilion in London and the first antiques fair for the exclusive participation of members of the British Antique Dealers’ Association. Therefore, it is no surprise that this event is internationally recognised as the UK’s premier, national art and antiques fair.
