The Charity Gala Evening

Details of the 2009 Gala evening will be added later in the year.

This year the BADA Fair Charity Gala evening was held on Thursday 6 March in aid of Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.

The Gala night has become an essential feature of the Fair and an important event in London's social calendar. It was attended by a member of the Royal Family and well-known celebrities with the sole aim of raising valuable funds for a worthwhile cause. Approximately 1000 guests came to the glittering champagne Reception, 250 remaining for a dinner in the Fair's Cellini Restaurant.

Rainbow Trust provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Through seven teams of Family Support Workers, as well as two respite houses, Rainbow Trust is able to support 1,000 families each year, providing a helping hand, a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on when things get tough in the families' own homes. Rainbow Trust provides a unique support service to families aiming to maintain a sense of normality and keep families together.

The Champagne Reception offered a private view of the BADA Fair and was followed by a gala dinner in the Fair's own Cellini Restaurant. This prestigious event helped Rainbow Trust make a very real difference.
